The garbage collectors are very strict about the content you put in the various collectors. If you do not respect the rules they will not collect the various container. Please help us to avoid any issues or sanctions. We appreciate your help!
This is a third of your waste and by recycling it, it is made into compost, a valuable natural fertilizer, useful in agriculture and floriculture. The organic waste you throw away in one year can nourish 100 square meters of land.
Cooking leftovers and scraps (raw or cooked, but not hot): egg shells, bones, fish bones, leftover bread, peels and fruit scraps, vegetable scraps. Filters and teabags for tea, chamomile, herbal teas and coffee grounds. Cut flowers, houseplant remnants (without vase). Cold wood ashes.
Put it in biodegradable bags made of Mater-bi (corn starch) and than in the small Brown container. Put the container close to the “cage” right outside of the gate on days indicated.
Warning: for Food Waste, never use ordinary plastic bags as they are not biodegradabl. They would jeopardise the final recycled material. The organic bag will be damaged if you fill it with hot foods or liquids.
Plastic is not biodegradable, and when disposed of incorrectly, lingers on for hundreds of years.
It is valuable when recycled: with 40 bottles, a jacket in synthetic fibres can be made..
Bottles, flasks and dispensers. Jars and lids (to be separated from the main packaging if made of other material). Plastic film for packaging (like that for wrapping bottles for beverages or toilet paper), including bubble wrap (the wrap which protects products from jolts). Sacks and bags (including shopping bags). Shopping bags (including those for food). Tubs, jars and packaging for food (including egg cartons) both in transparent plastic and polystyrene foam. Disposable plates and cups. Shaped containers (blister packs). Nets for fruits and vegetables. Boxes (like those for clothing).
Use the yellow transluscent bag. Put it in the “cage” right outside of the gate on days indicated.
Warning: remove the residue and quickly rinse the bottles and flasks, then flatten them to reduce their volume. These are not disposed of with the Plastic, but with Dry residual waste: disposable cutlery, toys, clothes hangers, rubber objects. The quality of the collection is essen- tial for recycling. When in doubt, put it in Dry residual waste.
More than a quarter of your waste is composed of Paper and Cardboard. Making 1 tonne of paper with recycled paper, we save, along with the raw material (trees) and energy, 25 cubic meters of water.
Newspapers, magazines, books and notebooks. Sheets of paper, envelopes, notes/tickets. Paper bags (clean) and cardboard rolls. Boxes made of heavy or lighter cardboard (those for pasta, rice, soap, sugar or salt). Tetra Pak packages or containers (containers for milk, for beverages and the like).
Use the white Carton-Box . Put it near the “cage” right outside of the gate on days indicated.
When and where?
The garbage is collected on Monday and on Thursday.
Monday: dry garbage, glass & food waste
Thursday: paper, plastic & food waste
Please put the garbage containers in the “cage” just outside the gate the evening before the garbage is collected.
