Eating & drinking
Here are some places we like from a good italian cappuccino and brioche to an aperitivo at the Patrick's Kafe to a nice raw sea food dinner at the FraMarTina or a real italiana pizza. Enjoy and let us know which you liked best. Check out our map with all these places and more.
Aperitivo: Patrick's Kafe
If you want to have a real italian aperitif Patrick's is the place to go in Laveno. Patrick is really good in preparing cocktails and you get some nice "stuzzichini" with your drink.
The Ristorante FraMarTina is a bit hidden in Cocquio on the road between Laveno and Gavirate but it's worth the detour. The chef Tina delighted us with her raw fish dishes more than once so we can only recommend to order this one (be aware you have to book the Grand Plateau Crudités two days in advance).
If you want to see some more visit Tina on Instagram.
In the area around Laveno it is, from our point of view, not so easy to find a good pizza so if you don't want to drive to Milano you can go to Gavirate and have a good pizza at the Vecchio Ottocento. It's about 20 minutes drive away from Casa Tina. You can combine it with visiting the market in Gavirate every friday in the town center.
